Ellen Fisch began her professional career as an artist at the age of 16 when she sold a painting of a nude in a gallery in Brooklyn, New York. Since that time Ellen Fisch has shown her art throughout the world. Her photography and paintings have been included in many private and corporate collections including the collections of: the Vatican; Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother; Museum of American Financial History; Saco Museum; Delta Airlines; Tishman Speyer; Royal Bank of Canada; Morgan Stanley; Park IP; City University of New York. A well known photographer as well as a painter, Fisch has participated in numerous solo exhibitions and group shows garnering a devoted clientele and circle of admirers.
Employing light and shadow, form and space, Ellen Fisch is dedicated to photographing the details of architecture that grace buildings in cities throughout the United States and Europe for some time. Ellen Fisch was quoted as saying: All of my life I have been passionate about the magnificent stone, metal and wood ornamentation on building facades which represent the immense time and care that was taken when an artisan was crafting a work. With the same time and care, Fisch creates impressionistic realism in her photographs that reflect elegance and fluidity, strength and subtlety that characterize architecture from eras that required enormous skill and artistic ability to create.
Ellen Fisch brings to being photographs that call upon her highly developed personal skills as an artist. She is equally adept at painting in oils, watercolor and pastels, which Fisch uses to express the landscapes of her world, be they scenic or satiric. Fisch is represented in New York City by Jadite Galleries.
